Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher - Multilingual Learning - Grade 7 to join our team at Norwalk Public Schools. As a co-teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality instruction to students in a multicultural and multilingual environment. Key Responsibilities:


Instruct students in Grade 7, focusing on multilingual learning and co-teaching
Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and styles
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters engagement and academic achievement
Assess student learning and progress, providing constructive feedback and support
Collaborate with colleagues and other educational professionals to ensure student success
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about student progress


Requirements:


Bachelor's Degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
Active TESOL K-12 (111) or Bilingual Certification (009)
Expertise in writing instruction and language development
Proven experience in co-teaching, progress monitoring, and collaborative settings
Strong knowledge of best practices in curriculum, instruction, and assessment development aligned to the Common Core State Standards
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
