Join Our Team: Specialty Instructor - Pickleball
Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Specialty Instructor to teach Pickleball classes at the Forest Lake YMCA. As a key member of our aquatics, sports, and fitness programs team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our members and program participants. Job Responsibilities:
Lead high-quality Pickleball classes, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for participants of all ages
Plan and instruct progressive classes, observing and discussing individual progress with participants and motivating them to achieve their wellness goals
Set up and take down class equipment, reporting any equipment problems and ensuring a safe and effective class environment
Respond to and report any accidents or incidents, demonstrating the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Work closely with other YMCA team members and program participants, using participant names and encouraging member interaction whenever possible
Requirements and Qualifications:
Formal training in Pickleball instruction or a related field
Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and AED (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Demonstrated customer service and verbal communication skills
Ability to individually lead a class and motivate participants
Physical ability to stand for majority of work shift, stretch, bend, and lift up to 50lbs, and move heavy equipment on a daily basis
