Responsibilities:
Perform duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act
Contribute to the development of patient care plans and follow through with implementation
Administer medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy
Maintain exam rooms and work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workflow
Document nursing care and activities accurately and efficiently
Assist with patient care and monitoring during procedures
Assist with training and development of other staff members
Support departmental assistant with clinical matters
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse
Experience:
Prefer at least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room, and/or hospital setting
Experience in office clerical activities desirable
Licensure/Certification:
Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for duration of employment
