Job Summary: We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Hardware Store Clerk to provide top-notch customer service, operate cash registers, and assist with inventory management in a fast-paced hardware store environment. Key Responsibilities:

Operate cash registers efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions.
Operate forklift or skidsteer to move, load, and unload products.
Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure the store is well-organized and visually appealing.
Engage with customers to provide assistance, answer questions, and promote products through effective upselling techniques.
Conduct product demonstrations to showcase new items and encourage sales.
Maintain knowledge of retail math to assist in inventory management and sales reporting.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.


Qualifications:

Previous experience in a hardware store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
Basic knowledge of cash register operations and retail math principles.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership skills when supervising others.
Experience with product demonstrations and sales techniques is an advantage.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a busy environment.
