About the Role: Engineer L2 – Fleet Engineering Team

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Engineer L2 to join our A319/A320/A321 Fleet Engineering Team within the Technical Operations Division at arenaflex. What You'll Do

As an Engineer L2 on our Fleet Engineering Team, your responsibilities will be both challenging and rewarding. Here's what you can expect in this role:

Daily Operations & Priority Management

Stay informed of day-to-day airline operations within your assigned field of responsibility, maintaining awareness of all factors that could impact aircraft performance and safety
Assess daily priorities in accordance with airline and departmental objectives, ensuring that critical issues receive immediate attention while managing less urgent matters efficiently
Respond swiftly to emerging situations, adapting to changing priorities with professionalism and composure
Maintain open lines of communication with management and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on objectives and deliverables


Technical Problem Resolution

Investigate aircraft and component problems that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations
Determine appropriate corrective actions for complex technical issues, working closely with maintenance teams and quality assurance departments
Provide expert engineering support for the disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components to restore serviceable status quickly and safely
Document findings and recommendations thoroughly, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures
Analyze root causes of technical issues and develop comprehensive solutions to prevent recurrence


Cross-Functional Collaboration

Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems
Coordinate effectively with other airline departments to ensure effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions
Serve as a technical resource for various stakeholders, providing guidance and expertise as needed
Participate in cross-functional teams tasked with improving operational efficiency and aircraft reliability


Project Management & Documentation

Develop action plans for fleet, multi-fleet, and component engineering projects, pursuing final dispositions according to assessed priorities
Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical dispositions by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions
Ensure all documentation meets the high standards set by arenaflex and complies with relevant aviation regulations
Track project progress and provide regular updates to management on status, challenges, and achievements
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team


Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to bring a combination of education, experience, and personal attributes:


Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or engineering is preferred. Experience with transport category aircraft is highly desirable.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of aircraft systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and flight control systems
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FAA regulations (Part 21, Part 25, etc.) and industry standards
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a systematic approach to troubleshooting complex technical issues
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences
Computer Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and aircraft maintenance tracking systems
Documentation Skills: Meticulous attention to detail when preparing technical documentation


Preferred Qualifications

Fleet-Specific Experience: Previous experience working with A319, A320, or A321 aircraft families
Type Ratings: Holding a current aircraft type rating or relevant certifications
Advanced Degrees: Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
Project Management: Experience leading engineering projects from inception to completion
Lean/Six Sigma: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodology
International Experience: Exposure to international aviation operations or multi-cultural teams
