Job Description
We are looking for an Experienced Podiatry Medical Biller to handle a variety of billing and accounts receivable tasks remotely. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in medical billing, including payment posting, claims scrubbing, appeal writing, and accounts receivable recovery. This position requires someone who can work independently and efficiently in a remote setting while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and compliance.
Please note: Only candidates with relevant medical billing experience will be considered. This position is not for entry-level applicants.
Key Responsibilities
Payment Posting: Accurately post payments from insurance companies and patients to accounts. Address discrepancies promptly to ensure correct allocation.
Claims Scrubbing: Review and edit claims before submission to verify all required information is correct and complete, preventing denials.
Appeal Writing: Prepare and submit appeals for denied or underpaid claims, providing clear explanations and supporting documentation for successful resolutions.
Accounts Receivable Recovery: Manage and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable by contacting insurance companies and patients to resolve issues and ensure timely payments.
Billing Accuracy: Stay up-to-date with billing codes, payer policies, and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in all billing activities.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of billing activities, communications, and resolutions for audits or inquiries.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of podiatry medical billing experience, with expertise in payment posting, claims scrubbing, appeal writing, and accounts receivable recovery.
Must have Podiatry Billing Experience
Knowledge of software such as Modernizing Medicine, Veracity, eClinical Works, Nextgen, RXNT, Athena.
Proven ability to manage billing tasks efficiently and with high accuracy.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear, persuasive appeals.
Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
Passion for medical billing and commitment to delivering top-quality service.
