What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

As the primary inside contact for arenaflex's customers, you will be responsible for ensuring all customer needs are met by taking ownership of fulfillment activities, standard product recommendations, pricing inquiries, and information-related complaints. Your role is integral to maintaining customer satisfaction and driving business growth.

Customer Inquiry Management

Respond to customer inquiries received by phone, email, and fax with professionalism and efficiency
Document all customer interactions in our Salesforce CRM system to maintain accurate records
Handle inquiries from sales teams, telesales, and distribution centers as needed
Provide comprehensive product information and troubleshoot customer concerns


VBS Product Sales and Support

Recommend, quote, sample, and sell VBS (Value-Based Solutions) products to customers
Identify opportunities where VBS products may not meet customer requirements and evaluate the feasibility of pursuing custom solutions
Professionally transfer customers to our technical community for custom construction discussions when appropriate
Recommend alternative VBS product constructions when existing options do not fully meet customer needs


Order Fulfillment Excellence

Own all aspects of order fulfillment from receipt through delivery and invoicing
Enter new orders with precision, verifying accuracy against documented procedures
Process order changes and cancellations professionally
Monitor open work orders and expedite as needed to meet customer deadlines
Proactively notify customers of late or problem orders and suggest VBS product alternatives to assist their operations


Pricing and Technical Support

Demonstrate working knowledge of our E-price tool to support customer inquiries
Provide VBS product recommendations, price quotes, and discounting
Generate application sheets, product sampling, and facilitate trial orders
Resolve information-related customer complaints and implement corrective actions
Confirm resolutions and corrective actions to customers following established arenaflex guidelines
Review complaint instances and corrective actions with colleagues to prevent recurrence


Freight and Logistics

Resolve customer-specific freight and logistics issues through consultation with arenaflex Shipping Departments
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction


Account Development

Proactively engage assigned accounts by initiating phone and email contact
Understand business applications in which arenaflex participates
Uncover missed opportunities where arenaflex is not currently engaged
Contribute to maintaining and growing business at existing and new arenaflex accounts


Additional Responsibilities

Assist with order entry overflow for repeat orders
Support standard price quotation overflow as needed
Enter new customer information into our systems accurately
Contribute to Customer Service Improvement Teams as required
Cross-train new employees when appropriate
Use problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude to overcome obstacles


What We Are Looking For: Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
Experience: 1-3 years of previous Customer Service experience
Industry Experience: Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred
Technical Skills: Experience using an ERP system is highly preferred
Availability: Must be available during Pacific Time Zone business hours to support our Western US Region


Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Salesforce.com CRM platform
Background in technical or industrial product support
Prior experience in B2B customer service roles
Familiarity with VBS or similar product lines
