Senior Staff Accountant - Accounting, Finance, and Payroll - Full time

We are currently hiring for a full time Senior Staff Accountant within the Accounting, Finance, And Payroll department here at Aspen Valley Health. Work Shift: Salary Compensation Range: $82,000.00 - $131,000.00 The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in an accounting or finance related field, or equivalent education. At least 3 years of accounting and/or payroll experience. Strong understanding of accounting theories, practices and GAAP. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including functions, formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, data visualization, and automation using macros and VBA. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in an accounting or finance-related field preferred. Experience with accounting or finance in a hospital or healthcare system preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. We will consider equivalent combinations of experience and education for certain jobs. Position Overview: The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for monthly journal entries and annual filing, such as 990 TaxReturn, Cost Report, Workers Compensation Audit, 1099 Forms and UnclaimedProperty. The Senior Accountant is also responsible the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll and timekeeping systems.
