Job Description:
Position Summary: The Mills Supervisor - 3rd Shift will be responsible for ensuring the achievement of the unit's safety, production, quality, and continuous improvement goals through adequate planning, organization, coordination, and control of human and technical resources and materials.
Primary Responsibilities:

Create a work environment that respects and empowers each employee to perform at their best
Ensure all parts are built to manufacturing plans and customer specifications
Train and empower employees and team leaders to execute job requirements
Communicate work rules and required standards of conduct
Assess employee performance and initiate coaching and discipline as necessary
Identify, control, and communicate operational risks
Ensure employees are trained to safely perform their jobs
Act as a role model and promote safe behaviors
Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Maintain accurate production reports
Organize and schedule work to achieve production requirements
Ensure conformance to quality procedures and process controls
Encourage and support improvement ideas from operators
Collaborate with Continuous Improvement teams to identify and implement solutions
Ensure communication between shifts and team meetings
Participate in meetings with managers to evaluate performance results and planned actions

Education and Qualifications:

Four-year degree or two-year degree in pursuit of a four-year degree with 2-4 years of supervision experience
More than 3 years of practical experience in supervision/management
Ability to identify and resolve technical and operational problems
Analytical skills to gather and interpret production information
Computer competency required, including spreadsheet, charting, and word documentation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness and ability to travel as necessary
Ability to work on off-shift and overtime as scheduled

Work Environment/Work Conditions:

Manufacturing environment with exposure to high and low temperatures
Must wear proper personal protection equipment at all times while on the manufacturing floor
Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations as required
