Job Summary We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chat Moderator to manage our official Discord server. As a key member of our community management team, you'll be responsible for maintaining a positive and respectful environment by enforcing our community guidelines and rules. This is a part-time, remote, and flexible position that offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on our community. Key Responsibilities As a Chat Moderator at blithequark, you'll be responsible for: Deleting messages made by users that violate our community guidelines and rules. Banning users who have multiple and repeat violations of our community guidelines and rules. Muting users who have violated our community guidelines and rules. Investigating reports made by users about violations of our community guidelines and rules. Collaborating with our community management team to develop and implement community engagement strategies. Providing excellent customer service and support to our community members. Staying up-to-date with our community guidelines and rules, and making recommendations for improvements. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: To be at least 18 years old. To have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Discord. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial: Experience working in a community management or customer service role. Knowledge of community guidelines and rules development. Experience with conflict resolution and mediation. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Basic knowledge of social media platforms and online communities. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Discord. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
