Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Scientist to join our team at Delta Airlines. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize revenue offers and enhance the customer experience. This is a remote opportunity with a competitive salary of $25/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze complex data sets to identify business opportunities and develop predictive models to drive revenue growth
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Advanced Analytics, Revenue Management, Pricing, and IT to design and implement data-driven solutions
Develop and maintain large-scale data models, tools, and systems to support business decision-making
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide insights to inform business strategy
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and identify opportunities to leverage these to drive business growth

To be successful in this role, you will need:
Strong technical skills, including experience with data scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R) and statistical/development software (e.g. R, SAS, Gurobi)
Experience working with large data sets, including data processing, analysis, and presentation
Proven ability to handle complex quantitative problems and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
A high school diploma or equivalent, and authorization to work in the US
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
Master's or Ph.D. in Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience with time series forecasting, machine learning, or optimization techniques
2+ years of industry experience in data science or operations research
