About the Role:
As an Associate Software Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for building code using core agile practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, polyglot programming, and microservice design. You'll work closely with our technical teams, business teams, and product managers to ensure that the code you develop meets their vision and requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

Designing, prototyping, and demonstrating new features and components of front-end and back-end applications
Assisting in the design, implementation, and optimization of related approaches, tools, and workflows
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that developed code meets business requirements
Developing solutions to meet functional and technical requirements
Aligning with Security/Compliance frameworks and controls requirements
Writing automated tests and owning quality posture
Developing delivery pipelines and automated deployment scripts
Configuring services such as databases and monitoring
Implementing Service Reliability Engineering
Fixing problems from development to production phase, including on-call production support

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:

1+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer or related technical engineering capacity
Experience with Agile Methodologies and DevOps principles
Understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle, building CI/CD pipelines, and practicing Test-Driven Development
Fundamental awareness of Application Security principles and 12-factor application development principles
Experience with developing and deploying applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and using AWS services
Experience with source control, build tools, and GIT
Ability to be a self-starter and work collaboratively in a team setting
High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
Authorization to work in the United States


Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
Experience working in an airline technology environment
