The Ames Community School District is seeking an Assistant 8th Grade Girls Track Coach for the 2023-24 season. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Track Coach in running a competitive girls' track program, maintaining knowledge of all District policies and procedures, and creating a sense of belonging and a welcoming environment for all athletes and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Track Coach in running a competitive girls' track program
Maintain knowledge of all District policies and procedures
Abide by strict confidentiality at all times
Attend work on a consistent and punctual basis
Create a sense of belonging and a welcoming environment for all athletes and families
Assist with other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Current Department of Education Coaching Authorization
Preferred: Experience coaching cross country or track at the high school or middle school level
