We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Academic Coordinator in our Department of Counseling. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to the Department Chair and faculty, ensuring the smooth operation of our academic programs. Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Department Chair and faculty, including organizing and coordinating events, meetings, and activities
Manage departmental inventory, facilities, and equipment, ensuring everything is in proper working order
Coordinate classroom usage, maintain departmental funds, and track expenses
Act as Departmental Property Administrator and maintain logs of fixed assets
Assist with faculty recruitment, onboarding, and other processes related to faculty management
Provide support for student registration, major/minor declaration, and other student-related processes
Serve as the primary liaison between the department and other units on campus
Maintain the department website and manage student employee hiring and workload
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
General knowledge of office management procedures and techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of WFU budget system and financial and accounting procedures
Experience with database programs and other software applications
