We are seeking a Mid-Level Database Migration Developerr to support the migration of applications, databases, and pipelines across multiple DBMS, including Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL, BigQuery, CrunchyDB, Postgres, and Hive DB. The successful candidate will execute efficient and secure migration processes, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and maintaining thorough documentation. Responsibilities: Assess and Plan Migrations: Evaluate existing databases and define strategies aligned with business and technical requirements Implement ETL and Transformations: Build ETL processes and apply data transformations to match target database schemas Execute and Validate Migrations: Perform migrations between different DBMS and verify data integrity, consistency, and performance Collaborate and Document: Work with developers, administrators, and project managers while maintaining clear technical documentation Troubleshoot and Optimise: Identify issues, apply fixes, and improve performance during migration processes Requirements for this challenge: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field Proven experience in database migration with hands-on expertise in at least three of the following: Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL, BigQuery, CrunchyDB, Postgres, Hive DB Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data modelling, and database architecture Proficiency in SQL and experience with scripting/programming languages such as Python, Java, or Shell Experience with cloud database services on Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure English advanced/fluent Nice to have: Certifications in database or cloud technologies such as AWS Certified Database – Specialty or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Familiarity with data governance and quality processes Experience in database performance tuning and optimisation Our benefits: Health and dental insurance Meal and food allowance Childcare assistance Extended paternity leave Partnership with gyms and health and wellness professionals via Wellhub (Gympass) TotalPass; Profit Sharing and Results Participation (PLR); Life insurance Continuous learning platform (CI&T University); Discount club Free online platform dedicated to physical, mental, and overall well-being Pregnancy and responsible parenting course Partnerships with online learning platforms Language learning platform And many more!
