IT Support Engineer I

As an IT Support Engineer I, you will be the go-to technical expert for helping clients solve hardware, software, and networking issues while providing hands-on support both on-site and remotely. Responsibilities Meet with clients to determine the nature of the problem, diagnose hardware or software issues, provide effective assistance, and maintain strong customer relationships Identify, diagnose and rectify any issues in computer hardware, software, services, and applications Installing and configuring client computer systems and software applications; training clients on proper application use Manage the procurement of licenses, installation, tracking, and other details Provide technical support on-site or via remote-access systems Offer solutions that meet the needs of the client Repair hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems Maintain good client relations Track and manage material inventory and work records Compile job reports Skills Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer In-depth knowledge of business software and hardware systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and high-level interpersonal skills Knowledge of web services, API, and IP-based protocols Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Shell Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems Good time management skills Good interpersonal skills Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong critical thinking skills Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science CompTIA A+ 220-902 or CompTIA A+ 220-901 certification Benefits Equity/stock incentive programs Profit-sharing bonus Comprehensive benefits package 401K with matching Company Overview Sciton designs and manufactures advanced lasers and light sources for aesthetic medical purposes.
