IT Software Engineering Intern

They are seeking an IT intern to support their Information Technology department as a Software Engineering Intern, providing hands-on experience in Java and SQL technologies to develop software solutions and analyze data. Responsibilities Analyze data/requirements and translate into technical specifications Analyze, design, and possibly develop software programs aligned to the portfolio Collaborate cross-functionally with software engineers, business users, project managers, and others to bring the planned outcome to closure Provide recommendations for continuous improvement Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices Skills Student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline Solid technical proficiency with an eagerness to learn new technologies such as Python, SQL, React, Power BI or other coding tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional and positive attitude Team oriented with the ability to work well independently Demonstrated drive for continuous learning and growth Strong work ethic and the willingness to 'do what it takes' to meet business deliverables Desire to continually improve processes while delivering timely and accurate results Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while effectively managing conflicting priorities Previous internship experience is preferred but not required Company Overview Talcott Financial Group is a strategic risk partner and reinsurance company that creates risk management efficiencies for insurers.
