IT Cloud Engineer (Work from Home)

Hello! We are a small technology solutions company in the USA offering private cloud hosting, enterprise software readiness and deployment, managed IT services, AI integrations, and SaaS services. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to work remotely full-time from home to assist with automation of our private cloud and enterprise software readiness and deployment for our clients. Primary Role: Your Primary Role would be supporting the deployment and upgrades of an enterprise software application of our clients. You would be interfacing with our clients over Zoom Video calls providing remote guided assistance to ensure their cloud environment meets certain specifications and perform software installation and/or version upgrades within the client’s cloud environment. This role requires that you are customer-facing, so you will need to be; - be very confident in front of customers - be very professional and present concepts well to customers - be a great troubleshooter The key is that you have great troubleshooting skills as sometimes the deployments require some level of creativity. Our job is to ensure that the client’s software is installed/upgraded and to pave a path to remove the roadblocks for a successful deployment. In this role, you must be extremely comfortable installing and configuring common Linux distributions (eg ubuntu RedHat etc). Secondary Role: Your Secondary Role would be help manage and automate our private cloud hosting environment to drive operational efficiency. We develop and manage our own SaaS AI application as well as integrate AI with 3rd party applications which are hosted in our environment. This would include: • Deploying/provisioning servers • Testing applications and performance • Automating cloud processes TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: You MUST have good experience with: • Windows and Linux (ideally Ubuntu) server deployment/administration • Docker and Kubernetes • Gitlab • Automation (Microsoft Windows automation, Terraform, PXE Booting, Ubuntu Autoinstaller, Cloud-Init etc) • Networking skills (IP addressing, subnetting, firewalls, routing/switching, DNS, etc) • Cloud infrastructure (virtualization - Proxmox/VMware – deploying/managing cloud environments) • Python/Scripting • Data Analytics/SQL WE INVEST IN YOU: At our company, we believe in investing in our team just as much as we invest in our customers. WORK SCHEDULE: The work week schedule would be something like: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00pm Central Standard Time USA.
