Key Responsibilities:
Provide IT administration of expert services, project management, and support to ensure the operational sustainability of Delta's critical infrastructure.
Manage IT services for all site implementations, inventories, capacity planning, and maintenance activities for server farm critical infrastructure, IT accreditation labs, and remote communication room critical environment equipment.
Provide IT support for IT labs to facilitate testing and validation of client applications and engineering teams with workstations, hardware, and access to test their applications.
Coordinate with professional services teams responsible for critical system maintenance and break-fix activities at remote communication rooms.
Oversee the management, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all critical facilities infrastructure for server farm and remote communication room equipment.
Develop and implement server farm and remote communication room standards for space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure.
Support the IT Offices grounds fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of the Atlanta airport and grounds facilities underground fiber ring.
Recommend and implement departmental policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all governing corporate policies and procedures.
Manage projects for server farm and remote communication room capital upgrades, updates, and improvements.
Source IT and critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, obtaining best prices for products and services, and ensuring that vendors meet their contractual obligations.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Knowledge of server farm technology and critical facilities infrastructure.
Project management experience, preferably in a high-availability communication room or server farm operating environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with varying shifts and extended hours.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
IT project management experience (minimum 3 years) in a high-availability communication room or server farm operating environment.
Experience with capital budgeting and project management for airport critical equipment life cycle replacement.
Knowledge of space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management.
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
Familiarity with IT service management frameworks and best practices.
