Investment Operations Contractor – Asset Management (100% Remote) Job Description We are looking for an experienced Investment Operations Contractor to play a vital role in supporting the operational functions of a dynamic Asset Management Group. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in investment operations, auditing, or custody. You will be responsible for managing a range of critical tasks, including cash flow monitoring, reconciliations, and data analysis, while collaborating with team members to ensure seamless operations and accurate reporting across multiple portfolios. The position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of asset classes, investment strategies, and systems in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. This is a 5+ month contract opportunity, paying up to $60/hour depending on experience. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor and manage cash flows, including preparing reconciliations and projections across multiple portfolios. • Reconcile monthly cash flows and trade activities for Separately Managed Accounts, hedge funds, commingled funds, and private investments in limited partner structures. • Document reconciliation processes and deliver monthly summaries of findings. • Review Net Asset Values (NAVs) calculated by BNY Mellon and address variances. • Oversee net earnings allocations for multi-investor portfolios prepared by BNY Mellon. • Retrieve, analyze, and prepare data from custodian banks like BNY Mellon. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in market value, transactions, and performance by comparing custodian data with internal systems (e.g., Caissa). • Complete third-party access request forms. • Support ad hoc projects as needed. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in investment operations, auditing, or custody, with a solid understanding of multi-asset class investment portfolios and strategies. • Proficiency in Excel with advanced skills. • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Experience using BNY Mellon custodian reporting and Nexen platform preferred.
