The firm is based in Los Angeles, with additional offices in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and Charlotte. Intrepid is the middle-market advisory arm of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (NYSE: MUFG), one of the largest financial groups in the world.The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.Intrepid Investment Bankers is expanding nationally and seeking to hire a talented M&A Sell-side Analyst to join our Industrials & Business Services Team in Charlotte, NC.Responsibilities:Analysts are a crucial part of Intrepid deal teams, working closely with Managing Directors, Directors, Vice Presidents, Associates and clients. Analysts are involved in all phases of execution including:Performing client specific and industry researchOrganizing, reviewing and analyzing due diligence processes and materialsDeveloping valuation analyses and models (projections, LBO, DCF, public comparables, historical M&A transactions, etc.)Preparing comprehensive pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations and marketing materialsCompiling prospective acquirer lists and contacting acquirersPerforming key steps in the sale execution processSupporting senior bankers in establishing relationships and maintaining direct contact with current and prospective clientsInteracting with senior bankers to help build the firm (training, recruiting, mentoring, etc.)Skills & Experience:The ideal candidate would possess the following:Minimum 1 year of sell-side M&A advisory and investment banking experienceExposure to M&A deals ideally in the Industrials and Business Services verticalsOutstanding academic credentials from a top tier schoolDemonstrated critical thinking, process oriented, and strong attention to detailsCollaborative team player willing to take an integral role in Intrepid’s growthExcellent written and oral communication skillsHigh proficient financial analysis and modelling skillsSelf-starter willing to work in an entrepreneurial, demanding and fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with accounting and corporate finance concepts and financial statement analysisSignificant level of maturity and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a small teamProficiency with S&P Capital IQ, Pitchbook, Salesforce CRM and online data room platformsFINRA Series 7, 63 or 79 licenses will be requiredCompensation & Benefits:The typical base pay range for this role is between $100K-$105k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. Depending on corporate title, role in the transaction, productivity, and type of incentive payout, participants can be eligible for compensation that includes a guaranteed salary against the variable incentive amount, that can range up to 25% per transaction, subject to final approval by the CEO of Intrepid.
