International Telephonic & Video Remote Interpreters
Position Overview
As a Portuguese Remote Agent within the IRIS division, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings, including customer service, medical, and other verticals via audio and video. Language Services Associates is continuously accepting qualified interpreters!
Responsibilities
ā¢ Provide effective audio and video remote interpreting
ā¢ Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
ā¢ Perform basic troubleshooting for technical issues
ā¢ Provide superior customer service
ā¢ Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
ā¢ Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
ā¢ Complete assigned training(s) and participate in ongoing Quality Assurance monitoring
Qualifications/Experience
ā¢ International opportunity
ā¢ Full fluency in both English and Portuguese
ā¢ Technology proficient (including but limited to: web based platforms, email, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
ā¢ Preferred - professional interpreting experience
ā¢ Preferred - industry specific certifications/trainings (CMI, CCHI, etc.)
ā¢ Preferred - proof of 40+ hour medical interpreting training (ex: Bridging The Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)
