International Contract & Employment Counsel

We are seeking senior legal counsel (individual attorney or firm) for an ongoing, as-needed advisory relationship covering: • US contract drafting and negotiation • International contractor structuring • EU data protection–related contract drafting This is not a one-off project. Our goal is to single-source legal advice across the following three (3) domains. ⸻ Primary Responsibilities... Contract Law (US-based) • Draft, review, and refine contracts for: • Professional service delivery • Independent contractors employment • Clients, partnerships, and community programs International Employment & Contractor Structuring • Advise on compliant use of international contractors for a US LLC • Support transition from third-party intermediaries to Deel or similar platforms • Maintain lawful contractor classification while mitigating misclassification risk • Draft and maintain contractor agreements suitable for LATAM and other jurisdictions EU Data Protection & Institutional Contracts • Advise on and draft GDPR-related clauses • Support contracts involving EU institutions, including universities • Collaborate with EU legal teams as needed ⸻ Profile We’re Looking For... You are: • A senior attorney, law firm, or legal agency with international reach • Experienced in cross-border contractor models • Comfortable operating where employment law, contract law, and data protection intersect • Pragmatic, risk-literate, and commercially grounded Experience with Deel, EORs, or similar platforms is strongly preferred. ⸻ Engagement Terms • Ongoing, as-needed work • Long-term relationship preferred • Hourly • Fully remote • Must be licensed to practice law in the US.
