POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide regular assistance and support to the International Affairs Department with routine responsibilities including research and outreach to promote the overall U.S. airline industry and A4A member carriers. This position is responsible for handling administrative and operational support for the Senior Vice President, International Affairs and the wider International Affairs Department (currently two individuals).

The successful candidate must be able to juggle a wide range of duties in a fast-paced environment; be a strategic thinker; have strong writing and editing skills; anticipate future needs; be responsive; know how to prioritize multiple competing deadlines; consistently display a professional demeanor; exercise sharp judgement; maintain confidentiality at all times; and enjoy working with a range of people.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President and wider department by maintaining SVP and departmental schedules in Outlook and making travel arrangements. Assists with email inbox management and monitoring.
• Enter and record staff expense reports, ticket requests and travel authorizations; process departmental invoices.
• Schedule, plan, organize and participate in specified meetings and department events; take notes and ensure action items are completed in a timely manner.
• Research and prepare briefings for senior leaders and International Affairs team members.
• Develop knowledge of the association's member carriers and issues.
• Create and disseminate mass emails and other approved communications, often on tight deadlines.
• Maintain up-to-date contact databases and proficient knowledge in interfacing with database
