Internal Communication Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Internal Communication Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and executing internal communication strategies that align employees with the organization's vision and goals. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, you will collaborate with multiple departments to ensure effective messaging and engagement across the company.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the review and approval process for internal communication materials to ensure clarity and consistency.

• Coordinate and manage internal communication requests while maintaining an organized communications calendar in Asana.

• Develop and refine content for company-wide meetings, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

• Provide strategic communication advice to internal departments to enhance messaging and delivery effectiveness.

• Monitor and evaluate the impact of internal communication efforts on a monthly basis.

• Create engaging content for diverse communication channels, including email, blogs, and digital platforms.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive communication strategies.

• Utilize generative AI tools to streamline content creation and improve efficiency.

• Contribute to the development of innovative communication strategies to boost employee engagement.

• Ensure all communication initiatives are aligned with the company’s branding and vision.

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in a communications role, preferably internal communications, with a focus on attention to detail.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with Asana or similar work management platforms is preferred.
• Experience using generative AI tools for content creation is an advantage.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop creative solutions to communication challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to building relationships across teams.
