About the Role: The IT Intern will have the opportunity to learn and apply an analytical problem-solving approach to a diverse set of business questions. The IT Intern will work directly with the Managers and members of the IT team as well as other stakeholders who work with technology around Select Quote. This internship will prepare the candidate for future work in the field of IT by equipping them to leverage a variety of tools and techniques to answer business questions. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Learns Google Suite and Active Directory configurations and settings Assists with onboarding and offboarding of agents at various capacities Troubleshoots end user issues and providing feedback Configures user settings within various software applications Assists in keeping various ticketing systems up to date Assists in the configuration of hardware Provides excellent customer service Skills/Abilities: Curious creative problem solver Quick self-motivated learner Ability to work independently and with a team Excellent Problem solving skills Solid organizational skills including multitasking and time-management Strong client-facing and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and with a team Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to understand the issue and provide workarounds and document issues Education and Experience: Currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year of college/university Degree focused in Computer Science Information Systems Data Science Analytics Statistics Mathematics Engineering Relevant previous internship experience or the completion of a project that demonstrates aptitude for programming and data analysis Basic understanding of SQL Physical Requirements: Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
