Interior Designer & Materials Curator (Growth Role) Company: PMB Property Improvements LLC Location: Tampa Bay / St. Petersburg, FL (Remote/Hybrid Options) About Us PMB Property Improvements is a fast-growing renovation and remodeling company. We are looking for a design-forward, resourceful, and relationship-driven Interior Designer & Materials Curator to help us create upscale spaces while building direct vendor and manufacturer pipelines. This role is perfect for someone who loves designing with intention AND curating materials at the source. What You’ll Do Design & Space Planning • Space plan with ergonomics, flow, and proportion in mind. • Guide clients with tasteful, upscale design decisions that stay within budget. • Apply advanced design knowledge: • Color drenching, French returns, muted tones as neutrals, varied textures, layered heights. • Lighting temperature and mood. • How much detail to add without overwhelming a space. • Ensure projects feel curated over time, not cookie-cutter. Materials & Sourcing • Curate and select finishes: tile, countertops, flooring, hardware, lighting, cabinetry, and furnishings. • Build direct-to-manufacturer relationships (local and overseas) to unlock pricing, exclusivity, and efficiency. • Develop and maintain PMB’s materials library — a curated catalog of approved, budget-conscious, upscale selections. Vendor & Relationship Management • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and manufacturers. • Nurture long-term vendor partnerships to strengthen PMB’s pipeline. • Track commissions tied to sourcing wins. Client & Team Collaboration • Present curated design boards, mood boards, and finish selections. • Provide assertive yet respectful feedback to guide decisions. • Collaborate with PMB project managers to ensure materials align with construction timelines. • Use Houzz Pro for project coordination, estimates, and selections. What We’re Looking For • Design Expertise: Strong understanding of interiors, finishes, and design principles (scale, proportion, lighting, ergonomics, texture layering). • Material Knowledge: Experience curating and sourcing tile, stone, wood, lighting, and furnishings. • Software Skills: Houzz Pro (required); SketchUp, AutoCAD, or Canva a plus. • Professional Traits: • Self-motivated, assertive but respectful. • Great at nurturing relationships. • Detail-oriented but big-picture minded. • Strong communicator and great at giving/receiving feedback. Compensation • Base Pay: Up to $1,500 per project for design & coordination. • Commission: • On vendor/manufacturer relationships you curate that generate revenue. • 8% of gross profit if promoted into Sales Consultant role as PMB scales. Growth Opportunity This is a ground-floor role with significant upside. As PMB grows, you’ll: • Build and manage an in-house design & materials sourcing division. • Travel to trade shows and suppliers (domestic and international) to source exclusive products. • Grow into a Sales Consultant or Design Lead, with commission and leadership opportunities. • This role will evolve into a key sourcing and sales consultant position as PMB expands. You’ll have the chance to: • Shape our vendor pipeline by securing direct-to-manufacturer relationships and exclusive material supply deals. • Standardize our materials library so clients and project managers can choose from a curated collection of high-quality, budget-conscious finishes. • Build and lead a design + supply division within PMB, blending interior design direction with sourcing strategy. • Step into a Sales Consultant role, earning commissions on both client projects and vendor relationships.
