Interim Commercial Finance Manager
Are you a finance professional who thrives at the intersection of analytics and business strategy? Our client is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager (FP&A) for a high-impact interim role (3–6 months, with strong potential to convert to permanent if located in Nebraska). This role will report to the FP&A Director and partner closely with Sales leadership to drive forecasting accuracy, margin insights, and strategic decision-making.
What You’ll Do
• Partner with Sales leadership to forecast revenue and manage pipeline at the customer and product-line level.
• Analyze customer margin, profitability, and product mix across multiple SKUs and business segments.
• Build and maintain advanced Excel models for forecasting, scenario planning, and margin analysis.
• Deliver actionable insights that directly impact revenue growth and profitability.
• Support monthly and quarterly reporting processes, ensuring leadership visibility into revenue drivers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Finance to align forecasts and ensure accuracy.
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2–3+ years of FP&A experience with strong exposure to Sales/commercial teams.
• Background in Manufacturing or CPG highly preferred.
• Experience with organizations $200M–$1B+ in revenue and multiple product lines.
• Proven track record of generating insights that “moved the needle” in revenue or profitability.
• Excel expert (able to build models from scratch, work across large datasets, perform margin analysis at the SKU/customer level).
• Familiarity with AS400, ClickView, Power BI, Tableau, and/or SQL is a plus.
