Intellectual Property Manager

We're seeking a highly motivated Intellectual Property Manager to lead our Intellectual Property function across the corporation and some subsidiaries. This is a critical leadership role responsible for safeguarding our present and future investments in intellectual property rights, enhancing our competitive position, and mitigating corporate risk through direct collaboration with legal counsel. What You'll Do: • Direct and manage the corporation's intellectual property strategy across all subsidiaries. • Collaborate with legal teams to identify, protect, and enforce IP assets. • Monitor and respond to potential trademark conflicts and opposition filings. • Proactively identify opportunities for new patents and trademarks. • Ensure compliance and minimize risk in product development and innovation initiatives. Preferred Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with an emphasis in intellectual property law or a technical engineering degree. • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a new product development or engineering environment. • Prior management experience with a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives. • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with complex technical language and patent documentation. • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work autonomously and drive strategic initiatives.
