Your ImpactPromotes the values of HangerReceives incoming calls from patients and scheduling various appointment types for multiple locations
Communicates professionally with patients
Appropriately documents and confirm requested appointment
Provides excellent customer service
Determines the most appropriate location, clinician, and appointment type needed for the patient
Manages incoming faxes from referral sources
Triages and route general inquiry calls
Contacts patient for no show/rescheduled appointments
Minimum QualificationsRequired:
High school education or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Minimum good fit for the job, as determined by a skills assessment. Hanger will administer the assessment as part of the selection process.Preferred
Experience in a medical office
Medical terminology knowledge
Experience with EMR systems (NextGen)
Spanish speaking
DME/Orthotic knowledgeAdditional Success FactorsStrong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to follow written and verbal directionsResourceful and flexible team player who excels at building trusting relationships with patients, referral sources and colleaguesWorking knowledge of HIPAA and other medical insurance regulations and terminology for private payer, state and federal plans including coding, billing and reimbursement protocolsProficient computer skills including Windows based office technologies (ex. Word, Excel), Outlook and automated billing systemsWorking knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPC/CPT and other codingAbility to use office equipment; such as, facsimile machine, calculator, and postage machineGeneral knowledge of state, federal and regional collection and reimbursement lawsExcellent organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentMust have an enthusiastic and positive attitudeAbility to work independently, exercise creativity, and be attentive to detailAct with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships.

Pay range of $17.75 to $23.40 per hour + benefits + annual bonus: up to 5% of base pay depending on bonus criteria. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
