About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented individual to join our Personal Lines Underwriting team as a trainee. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the growth, profit, and loss objectives of the team, while developing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Personal Lines Underwriting Team with growth, profit, and loss objectives.
Develop new Personal Lines business through effective sales strategies and relationship-building.
Assist with underwriting activities, including policy selection, classification, and determination of proper coverage.
Process policies, endorsements, and cancellations efficiently and accurately.
Understudy professional staff to gain expertise and knowledge in underwriting practices.
Evaluate and ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
Contribute to departmental projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; comparable work experience in insurance or a related field preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills essential.
Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary for success in this role.
Valid driver's license required; ability to travel when necessary.
