Instructor, Undergraduate Nursing

Full-Time, Undergraduate Nursing Faculty Position The Frances M. Maguire College of Nursing and Health Professions at Gwynedd Mercy University invites applications for a full-time undergraduate nursing faculty position. This 9-month appointment may be either tenure or non-tenure track. Rank and salary will be commensurate with education and teaching experience. We seek a dynamic and student-focused educator who is passionate about preparing the next generation of nurses through innovative teaching, experiential learning, and simulation-based instruction. Expertise in community health, medical-surgical nursing, and simulation-based learning is highly desirable. Responsibilities: The faculty member will teach undergraduate classes in in-person, hybrid, and/or online formats; provide student support both inside and outside the classroom; and participate in academic advising. Engagement in departmental, university, and professional service is expected, along with active participation in student recruitment and admissions events. The successful candidate will be a dedicated teacher-scholar committed to evidence-based practice, experiential learning, and inclusive pedagogies. Qualifications: • A Doctoral degree in Nursing, or Doctoral degree in a related field with a minimum of a Master’s degree in Nursing, is preferred. Candidates with an MSN will be considered. • A current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required. • Experience in higher education is preferred. • A record of clinical and/or teaching experience in community health and medical surgical nursing is preferred. • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
