Title: Insider Threat Product Manager
Location: Durham, NC (Remote)
Duration: long term contract
Required Skills:
⢠14+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 8 years focused on insider threat management
⢠Proven track record leading product development initiatives for security technologies
⢠Experience building and managing support teams in a 24/7 operational environment
⢠Deep understanding of behavioral analytics, UEBA, Access Control, Event Logs, DLP, and related security technologies
⢠Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, ISO 27001)
⢠Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
⢠Experience with agile development methodologies and product management practices
⢠Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
Preferred Skills:
⢠Experience implementing AI/ML solutions for security use cases
⢠Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, FAIR, or CRISC
⢠Background in financial services, healthcare, or government security operations
⢠Experience with cloud security and securing remote/hybrid work environments
⢠Knowledge of privacy regulations and their impact on monitoring programs
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Development
⢠Define the product roadmap and vision for our insider threat capabilities, aligning with organizational security objectives and industry best practices
⢠Lead cross-functional teams in developing new insider threat monitoring and detection features, utilizing AI, machine learning, and behavioral analytics
⢠Establish metrics and KPIs to measure product effectiveness and demonstrate value to stakeholders
⢠Partner with engineering teams to translate security requirements into technical specifications
⢠Stay abreast of emerging insider threat technologies, techniques, and regulatory requirements
Program Management & Operations
⢠Own the end-to-end insider threat program lifecycle, from development through deployment and ongoing support
⢠Develop and refine policies, procedures, and workflows for insider threat detection, investigation, and response
⢠Establish and maintain governance structures to ensure proper oversight and compliance
⢠Create and maintain documentation for all aspects of the insider threat program
⢠Coordinate regular program reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
⢠Partner with Legal, HR, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure the program meets all regulatory requirements
⢠Collaborate with Data Science teams to enhance analytics capabilities and reduce false positives
⢠Work with business units to understand unique insider risk profiles and tailor monitoring accordingly
⢠Engage with executive leadership to report on program performance and strategic initiatives
⢠Represent the insider threat function in enterprise security governance forums
