The role involves supporting editorial and production staff, maintaining technical equipment, and ensuring high-quality standards are met during broadcasts.ResponsibilitiesFacilitate technical & logistical traffic to support live news shows and recorded productionsSupport editorial & production staff on use of studio and control room technologySupport engineering team in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the technical equipmentMaintain a remote studios databaseBook remote studios, satellite trucks, and personal studios for remote productions, recordings, and live to air shotsEstablish connections with remote guests and reportersAssign, establish, and coordinate all IFB and PL linesEnsuring Newsmax technical quality standards are being metPerform other duties as assignedSkillsTechnical acumen and aptitude with strong communications and diplomacy skillsExpert understanding of studio and remote production equipmentKnowledge and ability to setup multiple live shots over cloud-based technology like Microsoft Teams and Zoom and their advanced audio and video settings as well as online platform management toolsUnderstanding of audio and video routing, audio manipulation and color correction and broadcast quality assurance standards that are practiced routinelySolutions-based, team player who can effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders in multiple areasAbility to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work on deadline in a high pressure, 24/7 news environmentProfessional appearanceExperience in broadcast transmission-based operations support across IP, fiber and satellite servicesExperience with bonded cellular service providers such as LiveU, Dejero and TVUBenefitsComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development and training opportunitiesCollaborative and inclusive work environmentCompany OverviewNewsmax Media, Inc., or Newsmax, is a broadcasting and digital media company founded in 1998 by Christopher Ruddy.
