DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Possession of expertise-level knowledge in the field of Industrial Wastewater Treatment Industrial Wastewater Treatment Technical Specialist is a professional responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining wastewater treatment systems in industrial settings. Their main goal is to ensure that water discharged from industrial processes meets regulatory and environmental standards. Coordinate support of regional sales and service teams with the Business Director Industrial Products to accelerate the sales cycle as well as provide expert technical expertise for account retention. Technical Support & Training: Provide guidance to sales and customer personnel on system operation, safety procedures, and new technologies. Apply experience, product and systems knowledge to provide value-added benefits to customers. Keep accurate and updated entries and notes in the DCRM database and provide Dubois Analytics reports detailing test results and required actions. Responsible for the regional profitable growth assigned to your geography. Travel as necessary to customer locations. Travel is expected to be up to 50% This position is both a technical support and a customer-facing role. Customer technical interface, account acquisition, account retention, product development and technical training are key responsibilities. Aligned with R&D and Marketing teams in identifying products/systems to satisfy customer needs. Works with Marketing/R&D Teams to develop training materials specific to the segment. Professional and timely communication to both customers and field sales. Key Responsibilities for Support of Sales: · System Design & Implementation: Develop treatment processes tailored to specific industrial waste streams (e.g., from chemical plants, food processing facilities, or manufacturing units). · Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that treated wastewater meets all applicable environmental regulations. · Process Optimization: Monitor and improve treatment efficiency by adjusting chemical dosing, flow rates, and equipment operation to reduce costs and environmental impact. · Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose issues with treatment systems (e.g., mechanical failures, biological imbalances) and coordinate repairs or upgrades. · Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze water quality data, and generate reports for internal use and regulatory agencies. QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years’ experience in applicable engineering, applications or sales Proven Skills in Designing and Applying Wastewater programs for control of FOG’s, Metals, Proven ability to build/maintain customer relationships at various levels within the customer’s organization Strong consultation, negotiation, problem-resolution and interpersonal skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organization and time management skills with an attention to detail Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record Involvement with Manufacturing Associations aligned with field of expertise preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to travel up to 75% EDUCATION REQUREMENTS · Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Metallurgy, or Applied Sciences Preferred · Master’s degree or PhD desirable for future career development DuBois provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, service in the military, veteran status, or any other protected status in accordance with applicable federal, state, and/or local law and/or regulation.
