Industrial Equipment Technician

Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment is a leading dealer of industrial equipment nationwide, and they are seeking a skilled Industrial Equipment Technician to join their Compactor team in the field. This 100% field-based role involves handling maintenance and repairs on various industrial equipment while providing exceptional customer service and support. Responsibilities Follow strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, fire watch, and fall protection measures Maintain and repair essential components such as motors, pumps, cylinders, and valves Perform routine maintenance according to equipment schedules to uphold performance standards Utilize torches and cutting tools for repairs as needed Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Provide exceptional customer service and support in the field Take on additional tasks as needed to support team objectives Skills Self-sufficient and able to work independently in a fully field-based role Manage and maintain truck inventory effectively Report to the Chesapeake branch once per week Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass and maintain a DOT physical Must have your own tools Deliver exceptional customer service to every client Willing to participate in an on-call rotation as needed Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and mechanical repairs Skilled in STICK welding and cutting Ability to work comfortably in tight spaces as needed Adaptability to varied environmental conditions, indoors and outdoors Ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach effectively Capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.unassisted Independence in entering and exiting various vehicles as required Willingness to pass a DOT physical exam for safety compliance Benefits $250 Quarterly Tool Allowance (up to $1,000 annually) $200 Annual Boot Allowance Work-Life Balance: Monday-Friday from 6:30a - 3:00p, with on call rotation.
