Independent Valuation Specialist for IP Licensing Fairness Memo (Short-Form)
We are preparing an intellectual property licensing arrangement between two related entities and seek an independent valuation professional to provide a short-form fairness opinion / valuation memo to support board approval. Role Overview You will: Review the provisional patent description and supporting business documentation Apply appropriate valuation methodologies for early-stage technology Prepare a concise memo evaluating whether the proposed licensing terms fall within a commercially reasonable range The scope is well-defined and suited for someone with IP or intangible asset valuation experience. Preferred Qualifications (Preferred but not strict requirements) NACVA (CVA), ASA (BV), ABV (CPA), or equivalent Experience valuing early-stage technology or IP Familiarity with AICPA/NACVA valuation standards Background in M&A, corporate finance, or intangible asset valuation Prior experience preparing short-form valuation or fairness memos Deliverables Short-form fairness/valuation memo (approx. 3–6 pages) Valuation range supported by standard methodologies Brief summary of assumptions and analysis Target turnaround: 1–2 weeks.
