Independent Freight Broker Agent (1099 Contractor) Sales

Summary
We are seeking a motivated Salesperson to join a trusted partner in securing clients who are in need of logistical transportation services. You will be responsible for driving sales and consulting services, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Prospect & Sell β Build a book of business through cold calls, networking, and referrals; onboard new shippers.
β’ Quote & Negotiate β Provide competitive freight rates to shippers; secure carriers via DAT/Truckstop/load boards.
β’ Account Management β Manage full lifecycle of freight and the client : booking, dispatch, onβtime tracking, and troubleshooting.Coordinate with Operations team in the back office & Shippers β Maintain Customer relationships, ensure smooth pickups/deliveries, and liaise with operations staff when needed.
Β· β Requirements
β’ Experience β Ideally 6β12 months (minimum) in freight brokering, logistics sales or shipping coordination.
β’ Book of Business β Active network of shippers or willingness to build one.
β’ Basic Tools β Reliable computer, phone, home office setup. Access provided to modern TMS + DAT/Truckstop.
β’ Sales Skills β Strong negotiation, cold-calling, communication, and customer-service abilities.
β’ Contractual Status β Must work as 1099 independent contractor under brokerβs FMCSA operating authority. No own bond or MC needed.
