Implementation Team Lead

Summary The Implementation Team Lead supports the Implementation Manager by directly overseeing a pod of Implementation Specialists, Project Managers, and other onboarding team members. This role ensures the successful delivery of onboarding projects by coaching the team, monitoring project health, and ensuring adherence to processes and timelines. The Team Lead also plays a critical role in identifying and escalating risks early. Key Responsibilities Team Management & Coaching - Supervise a pod of onboarding team members within a vertical. - Provide guidance, coaching, and support for day-to-day tasks and long-term development. - Conduct regular 1:1s, give feedback, and help team members meet project expectations. Project Oversight - Monitor assigned team’s project pipeline and help allocate resources efficiently. - Serve as point of escalation for blockers within the pod. - Ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality standards. Process Improvement - Identify areas for onboarding process improvement and propose solutions. - Help reinforce process adherence across the pod. - Share feedback from team members to Implementation Manager to influence playbook updates. Collaboration & Communication - Work closely with other Team Leads, Implementation Managers, and cross-functional departments (e.g., Data, Product, Support). - Represent your pod in team meetings and cross-functional syncs. - Assist with onboarding and mentoring of new team members. Required Qualifications - 3–5 years of experience in SaaS onboarding, implementation, or customer success. - Previous experience mentoring or leading others informally or formally. - Strong understanding of project delivery, customer communications, and implementation best practices. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. Preferred Qualifications - Experience working within a vertical-specific SaaS solution (e.g., Self Storage, Marine, Campgrounds). - Familiarity with project management tools and CRM platforms. - Prior experience in a player-coach role or stepping into leadership. Key Metrics for Success - Project completion rate and on-time delivery within the pod. - Pod-level CSAT or customer feedback scores. - Team member performance and engagement. - Quality and consistency of implementation processes followed.
