The Coordinator/Counselor will also establish new organizational relationships with K-12, community college, university, and clinical partners in the San Joaquin Valley, to ensure that all stakeholders are involved in the curricular design and implementation process. The Coordinator/Counselor will have a strong background in social determinants of health and be required to balance coordination duties with counseling support for scholars. The counseling duties will require advanced knowledge of college & career advising course planning across 15 institutions of higher education, as well as principles of social-emotional development to support pre-health students as they navigate the healthcare pathway. The Coordinator/Counselor will be responsible for training clinical mentors and supervising SJV-CMSP college students in their clinical placements.
