As an IT/Computer Specialist III at Cherokee Nation Systems Solutions (CNSS) in Charleston, SC, you will play a crucial role in conducting research, performing studies, and analyzing problems to provide expert recommendations and solutions. With a bachelor's degree as a prerequisite and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a federal agency setting, you will utilize your expertise in information technology and related fields to address complex challenges.

IT/Computer Specialist III Responsibilities Include:
Ã⢠Conduct research and perform studies and surveys to obtain data related to specific IT or computer-related disciplines.
Ã⢠Analyze problems and challenges within the field of specialization, utilizing knowledge of theory, principles, and technology to identify solutions.
Ã⢠Advise on or recommend solutions based on research findings and analysis, providing expert guidance to stakeholders and decision-makers.
Ã⢠Utilize knowledge in various IT fields, including computer programming, security, systems analysis, database management, software development, and internet applications.
Ã⢠Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that address identified needs and requirements.
Ã⢠Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and stakeholders, assisting with the design, development, and implementation of IT solutions.
Ã⢠Leverage experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in tackling a variety of complicated tasks.
Ã⢠Exercise a wide degree of creativity and latitude in problem-solving, exploring innovative approaches to address challenges and achieve objectives.
Ã⢠Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry, continuously updating skills and knowledge to remain current and relevant.
Ã⢠Communicate research findings, recommendations, and solutions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
Ã⢠Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
IT/Computer Specialist III Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Ã⢠Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in information technology, computer science, or a related field is required.
Ã⢠Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT or computer-related roles, preferably in a federal agency setting.
Ã⢠Strong knowledge and expertise in fields defined as information technology, including computer programming, security, systems analysis, database management, software development, and internet applications.
Ã⢠Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and recommend effective solutions.
Ã⢠Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Ã⢠Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Ã⢠Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT industry.
Ã⢠Previous experience conducting research, performing studies, and analyzing problems is highly desirable.
Ã⢠Demonstrated ability to exercise creativity and initiative in addressing challenges and achieving goals.
Ã⢠Continuous learning mindset, with a commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies and trends.
Ã⢠IT certifications: CompTIA CISSP, CISM, SSCP, etc.
