The Position: ACT/SAT Tutor and School Programs Teacher
As an ACT/SAT Tutor and School Programs Teacher at Academic Approach, you will have the opportunity to work with high school and middle school students across the Chicagoland area, providing specialized academic and test-prep instruction. This part-time position offers a unique blend of remote and in-person teaching, allowing you to balance your time between our Lincoln Park and Winnetka offices, as well as our partner schools. We prioritize candidates who are willing to tutor in-person at our offices and/or teach on the campuses of our partner schools. Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and specialized academic and test-prep instruction to high school and middle school students
Build strong relationships with students, parents, and administrators in a supportive and professional manner
Maintain an accurate calendar and respond to communications in a timely manner
Demonstrate exceptional classroom management skills and professionalism in both remote and in-person settings
Attend required training and professional development events to enhance your skills and knowledge
Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in any subject or major

Ability to demonstrate academic expertise in English, math, reading, and science
Access to a computer with a webcam, mic, and reliable internet connection for virtual instruction
Consistent availability of at least 10 hours per week

Experience in teaching or tutoring, particularly in test preparation and academic subjects
Strong knowledge of the ACT and SAT exams, including content and format
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and parents
Familiarity with online learning platforms and technology-enhanced instruction
