We are seeking a new team member to contribute to Amazon's product safety and compliance program, to maximize lawful selection and customer trust while minimizing unlawful selection, product risk and negative value actions on customer trust.

We are looking for someone who can navigate complex product regulations and develop and implement related compliance actions. This position requires partnering with legal and business teams on proposed actions, and coordinating across multiple teams using technology, to implement processes and policies to effectuate those actions.

There is also a significant project management component to this role.

Key job responsibilities

Monitoring product regulatory developments in the U.S.

Developing and managing compliance controls

Regulatory Engagement and Communications Management

Coordinating efforts with business and operational teams

Setting compliance strategies for long-term initiatives

Engaging with selling partners and helping them improve their product compliance

Reviewing selling partner appeals of product suppressions

A day in the life

As a Compliance Specialist on the RISC Legal team, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and implementing product regulatory compliance controls that impact the products sold in Amazon's online store in the US.

About The Team

RISC Legal's mission is to maximize customer trust and lawful product selection while minimizing unlawful selection, product regulatory risk to Amazon, and negative value actions on customer trust.

Basic Qualifications
• 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience handling confidential information

Preferred Qualifications
• 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
• Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
• Experience with SQL and Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
