IBM WebSphere Application Server Administrator - CM09
About the position
Pantheon Data is seeking an IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Administrator to support a large-scale cloud migration project. The role involves deep expertise in administering and managing IBM WebSphere environments, particularly in migrating from on-premises AIX-based platforms to AWS GovCloud on RHEL8.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Lead the migration and administration of IBM WebSphere Application Server environments from on-prem environments with AIX-based platforms to AWS GovCloud on RHEL8.

ā¢ Configure and optimize IBM WebSphere instances in the AWS environment, including setting up clusters, managing resources, and ensuring optimal performance.

ā¢ Collaborate with IBM Content Manager, DB2, and AWS teams to ensure successful integration and system operation post-migration.

ā¢ Implement security measures, including SSL/TLS and identity management solutions, in accordance with DoD standards and AWS security best practices.
,
ā¢ Monitor WebSphere environments for performance issues and potential risks, addressing them proactively to ensure high availability.
,
ā¢ Document WebSphere configurations, migration processes, and best practices to facilitate knowledge transfer and operational support.
,
ā¢ Provide application support and troubleshooting support during and after migration.
Requirements
ā¢ Minimum of 5 years of experience administering IBM WebSphere Application Server environments.

ā¢ At least 3 years of experience with cloud-based deployments, preferably in AWS or AWS GovCloud.

ā¢ Strong understanding of RHEL and AIX systems.
,
ā¢ Experience with middleware integration, performance tuning, and automation tools.
,
ā¢ Familiarity with DoD security compliance standards and government cloud solutions.
