Role: IBM BAM Developer Location: Seattle, WA (100% Remote) Duration: Contract 6+ months and possibility for extension - This duration is subject to changes based on the project's requirement and/or the client's sole discretion. Customer Industry: A&D Note: T he client is migrating the existing system to Oracle 19c, and the role involves supporting that migration along with IBM BAW, Java, and production support. Note: The selected candidate will work directly with the client on a daily basis. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client interactions professionally are essential. Note: Independent candidates with valid U.S. work authorization are eligible for this position. Summary: This is a technical, hands-on role involving IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW), Java development, and production support in a complex enterprise environment. Here's what the client is expecting: Must-Have Technical Skills • IBM BAW (Business Automation Workflow) Primary platform for workflow and process automation. You must have experience developing, configuring, and deploying solutions on this platform. • Java Custom workflow services or integrations likely require Java. • Oracle Supporting an Oracle 19c production environment (DB optimization, migration, etc.) • jQuery UI layer or client-side scripting within workflow solutions. • Azure DevOps For version control, CI/CD, and backlog/task management. Secondary Technical Skills • JavaScript Possibly for UI customizations. • Microsoft SQL Server Secondary or legacy DB support. • IBM FileNet Content Engine Integration with BAW for document management. • Apache Web Server / IBM HTTP Server Web tier understanding. • Linux Server-side scripting, deployment, or support tasks. Soft Skills / Responsibilities • Strong production support experience Must be able to work with users to resolve issues quickly. • Able to own the solution end-to-end from requirement gathering through to production deployment and support. • Performance tuning and bug resolution Especially for compliance. • Comfortable creating mockups, prototypes, requirements, documentation, and estimates. • Familiar with Agile / DevOps lifecycle. Primary Skills (must have): IBM-BAW (Business Automation Workflow) Platform, Oracle, Java, JQuery, Be familiar with Azure DevOps. Secondary Skill: JavaScript, Microsoft SQL, IBM FileNet Content Engine, Apache Web Server/IBM HTTP Server, Linux.
