HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/OA)
About the position
The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance in support of the installation Civilian Personnel Affirmative Employment Office. This role involves performing a full range of tasks in filling positions, exercising considerable independence in recruitment and placement tasks for various lower-grade clerical, administrative, technician, and semi-skilled wage grade positions. The position is located at Fort Sam Houston, TX, and is a permanent, full-time role with occasional travel requirements.
Responsibilities
Performs the full range of tasks in filling positions.

Exercises considerable independence in performing recruitment and placement tasks.

Monitors the Automated Security Clearance Approval System (ASCAS) and performs quality control.

Prepares correspondence, memoranda, and reports on recruitment placement activities.
,
Uses multiple office automation software to produce a wide range of documents.
Requirements
Must complete initial online questionnaire and additional assessment(s).

U.S. Citizenship is required.
,
Males must be registered for Selective Service.
,
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
,
Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM.
,
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station.
Nice-to-haves
Knowledge of recruitment and placement rules, procedures, or operations.

Experience with the DoD Priority Placement Program (PPP).

Familiarity with DCPDS for data input and quality review.
