HRIS & Benefits Reporting Analyst (Contract – Remote)
Remote | Contract through September 2026 | $45–$50/hr DOE | Start ASAP
We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-oriented HRIS & Benefits Reporting Analyst to support a critical phase of HR systems stabilization and reporting enhancement. This is a remote contract role running through the end of Q3 (September 30, 2026), with an immediate start preferred.
This position is ideal for a hands-on HRIS professional with direct benefits administration experience and strong Excel reporting capability. You must be comfortable working in an evolving environment where structure is still being built.
Key ResponsibilitiesBenefits Administration Support
• Provide hands-on support for benefits enrollment, life events, and employee self-service
• Assist employees with benefits-related troubleshooting
• Partner with HR Business Partners to resolve benefits inquiries
• Audit and reconcile benefits data across HRIS, payroll, and carrier systems
• Support documentation and process improvements during system transitions
HRIS & Systems Support
• Utilize Paycom to extract, validate, reconcile, and report on employee data
• Support concurrent HRIS implementations (including UZIO and Cocoon)
• Assist with data cleansing, testing, and reconciliation during system transitions
• Partner with Payroll and Finance to ensure data integrity
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual reporting processes
Reporting & Analytics (Primary Focus)
• Design complex ad hoc Excel reports from loosely defined requests
• Translate business questions into structured datasets
• Build scalable reporting templates for recurring use
• Anticipate additional relevant data elements beyond initial requests
• Implement data validation controls to ensure accuracy
• Contribute to building a more standardized reporting framework
Required Qualifications
• 3–5+ years of HRIS experience
• Direct hands-on benefits administration experience
• Strong experience with Paycom (highly preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH, nested formulas, data reconciliation)
• Ability to independently build executive-ready reports from raw data
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, and Finance
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with limited documentation
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting HRIS implementations or system transitions
• Exposure to UZIO, Cocoon, or similar HR platforms
• Experience building reporting libraries or dashboards
• Familiarity with ACA reporting, benefits audits, or payroll reconciliation
Compensation & Details
• $45–$50/hour depending on experience
• Fully remote
