About the position The HR Manager/Generalist will oversee and execute all human resources functions for a small government contracting organization. This role combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on administration, ensuring compliance with federal contracting requirements, labor laws, and company policies. The position supports workforce planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, and HR compliance. Responsibilities • Ensure compliance with OFCCP and government contracting requirements. • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues. • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including EEO and affirmative action requirements. • Administer policies and procedures aligned with FAR and related regulations. • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and personnel file maintenance. • Manage HRIS data integrity and reporting. • Coordinate benefits enrollment and manage vendor relationships. • Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives. • Advise leadership on workforce planning and succession strategies. • Partner with Facility Security Officer (FSO) to ensure clearance requirements are met for employees. Requirements • 5 to 7 years of HR experience, preferably in small business settings. • Experience in federal government contracting HR. • Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint. • Strong knowledge of employment law, OFCCP compliance, and HR best practices. • Experience with HRIS systems. • Proficiency in MS Office Suite. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Nice-to-haves • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
