HR Compensation Assistant (Part-Time/Contractor)

The Remote Compensation Assistant (Part-Time/Contractor) will be responsible for supporting with the evaluation of compensation structures to ensure alignment with business objectives for our client(s). This remote role requires the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and have excellent communication, organization, and note-taking... skills.

Responsibilities:

Conducting Employee Interviews:
• Organize and conduct interviews with employees to gather detailed information about their roles, responsibilities, and tasks.
• Proactively communicate with employees to schedule interviews at their convenience.
• Documenting and summarizing key points discussed during interviews.
• Analyzing interview data to ensure accuracy and relevance for compensation assessment.

Facilitating Focus Groups for Job Assessments:
• Plan and coordinate focus group sessions with relevant stakeholders to assess job roles and responsibilities.
• Support in the development of discussion guides and materials for focus group sessions.
• Moderate focus group discussions effectively to gather insights and feedback on job roles.
• Compile feedback and insights from focus groups to inform job assessment processes.

Analyzing Compensation Data:
• Assist in collecting and organizing compensation data from various sources.
• Analyze, with the support of our HR team, the compensation data to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies.
• Support the development of compensation structures and strategies based on data analysis.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation practices.

Collaborating with HR and Management Teams:
• Work closely with HR Business Partners, Managers, and other stakeholders to understand organizational needs and objectives.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on compensation-related activities and projects.

Continuous Improvement and Learning:
• Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in compensation and job evaluation.
• Seek opportunities for professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in compensation management.
• Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of solutions.

Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in HR, compensation, or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in all aspects of work.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
