Homebound Tutor - Supporting Students in Need (Connecticut)
Join our team and make a difference in the lives of students! Farmington Public Schools is seeking a compassionate and experienced Homebound Tutor to provide personalized instruction to students who are unable to attend school due to medical or other challenges. As a Homebound Tutor, you will play a vital role in ensuring that these students continue to receive a high-quality education and achieve their academic goals.
About the Role:
Provide one-on-one tutoring services to students in various grade levels and subject areas
Develop and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with students, teachers, and parents
Create a customized learning plan to meet the unique needs of each student
Deliver instruction in a flexible and engaging manner, using a variety of teaching methods and resources
Communicate regularly with teachers and other support staff to ensure continuity of instruction
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop and maintain a positive rapport with students, teachers, and parents
Strong organizational and time management skills
Prior experience working with school-age children is preferred
Consideration will be given to candidates with life/work experiences that contribute to their overall preparedness
What We Offer:
Competitive salary: $25.00 per hour (Bachelor's degree) or $30.00 per hour (State of CT Certification)
